Example Videos

I sometimes feel like I am asking people to just believe that they can teach their dogs using my methods.  In some classes, I am able to bring my dogs to demonstrate, but sometimes I cannot.  For this reason, I am going to create a collection of videos so that you can see what some of the skills that we are going to teach your dog will look like.

Leave It

This video features my beagle, Reese.  She is a very persistent food thief, so teaching manners classes again has been good inspiration for me to work on this with her as well.               http://youtu.be/xfPNJ9QO5Zo

Come

Another Reese video.  We are practicing off leash recalls in a clearing with woods on two sides.  There are deer on this property, so I keep her reinforcement level high for this cue.  You will see her leave a game of chase to come and offer what I call an auto check in.  I haven't called her but she runs over to me anyway.  I sometimes reward auto check ins as I want her to stay close as opposed to exploring in the bush.     http://youtu.be/-nvU404piLA

Door Manners

A Hunter & Reese video showing their self control at the door.  They have learned that there is a routine for going out the door, and if it doesn't happen they are expected to not rush out the door on their own.     http://youtu.be/-zWjirUh1GA
