Elementary Manners

 

Session length: 5 weeks

Location: 171 Hutcheson Beach Rd.
Cost: $155.00 + hst for the session

For dogs that would benefit from learning or practicing some manners in a class setting.  Topics covered in class include:  stay, place, walking nicely, coming in the face of distractions, greeting people politely, exhibiting self control in the presence of food and remaining still for procedures such as nail trims.   The goal will be to teach your dog some foundation skills that will be helpful in every day life.
​Maximum 4 dogs in class.
​Prerequisites:

• Your dog is comfortable in a group class setting, able to settle when it is not their turn ( a few barks is fine, constant barking that interferes with other's ability to hear is not). 
• Your dog does not act in an intimidating manner to the other dogs (i.e. fixedly staring with a hard stare, lunging, growling.  Some excited pulling/barking is fine, however spending their entire class planning how to get to another dog is not.)
• You are able to stand your ground if your dog pulls, and not allow your dog to enter another dog's space.

Advanced Manners

Session length: 5 weeks

​Location: 171 Hutcheson Beach Rd.
Cost: $155.00 + hst for the session

For dogs that have taken an Elementary Manners or Puppy Kindergarten class.  The goal will be to expand upon the skills your dog already has and combine them.   Topics covered in class include:  advancing walking skills around distractions, going to place when someone comes to the door, further self-control skills around food, preparing for vet exams/grooming, remaining calm when someone approaches with a dog, more advanced coming when called and stay skills.
​Maximum 4 dogs in class.  
​Prerequisites: Puppy Kindergarten or Elementary Manners Class
